2025
28 August 2025 – A Krawl around Farnborough. Small number but lage quality! Having met up at the Commonside car park we made our way via Wilberforce and High Elms to the nominated half-way house, The Change of Horses. It was 10 mins to twelve and looked as dead as a dodo, so we ambled up to The Woodman where we had a good pint. The pub was in better condition than we were last here… In due time we wandered back via the ponds, changed, and walk up to The Fox where we had a very nice meal in their private room. My GPS played up and we probably only did around seven miles.

31 July 2025 – Chelsfield and Environs. Ten met up at The Bo-Peep, Well Hill, for a leisurely krawl to The Five Bells in Chelsfield. It was great to see Jim down for his first krawl since moving up to Lincolnshire. The promised rain did make an appearance but not as heavy or as long as forecast. Under foot the ground was dry and the wheat looked as though it was ready for harvesting. The food at The Bo-Peep was up to it’s usual standard and all thirteen enjoyed the chit-chat. Just over six miles in total.
Present: Dave Arnold (President), BN, John, Jim, Drew, Stan, Ponti, Chris, Martin, Roger plus Dave C & Dave W, Fred (10+3=13)

26 June 2025 – Along the banks of the Medway. We met at 10:00 at The Wateringbury which is in Wateringbury! It was always going to be a shorter, slower krawl as the Pres is still suffering with his knees. Within ten minutes we had a forced rest having to wait for two trains to go through the level crossing. A bit further on and who was walking towards us but the President’s daughter. After a brief chat we headed across the beautiful countryside towards The Tickled Trout, West Farleigh for a pint in their garden. We crossed over to the northen side of the river and returned via the banks of the Medway having watched the Fire Brigade rehearsing water rescue techniques. A very good meal was had along with plenty of banter. Just over 5 miles in total.
Present: Dave White (President), BN, Drew, Phil, Stan, Dave Arnold, Colin + Rae, Ken & Fred for lunch (7+3=10)
Apologies: Gareth, Ponti, Jim, Mark, Roger, Martin, John, Apples, Chris, Dave C (10)

29 May 2025 – A Krawl around Leaves Green. Eight met up at the newly re-opened Kings Arms at Leaves Green. Before we set off the President, Gareth, presented Mark with his membership badge. A pleasant day started with a long downhill towards Furze Bottom where we saw the first of our nature sightings, numerous strings of caterpillars hanging from the trees. This phenomenon is called ‘ballooning’ apparently. Shortly afterwards we came across a slow worm, followed by a pair of Egyptian geese. This was followed by a Terrapin sunning itself in Keston Ponds along with Dragonflies & Damselflies. All of this was before we got to The Fox for a swift pint. Made our way back to The Kings Arms for a good lunch. Around 6 and a half miles in total.
Present: Gareth (President), BN, Drew, Mark, Rae, Stan, Chris, Dave Arnold + Dave W, Fred & Phil for lunch – (8+3=11).
Apologies: Apples, Roger, Jim, John, Ponti, Martin, Ken, Colin (8)

24 April 2025 – Chelsfield and Environs. Eight met at The Bo-peep for a delightful krawl in nice spring weather – a bit fresh to start with but pleasently warm by the time we got back for lunch. Prior to departure we were introduced to Dave Arnold’s guest, Tony. We made good time and arrived at The Five Bells ten minutes before they opened. We sat in the sunshine before enjoying a nice pint inside. A steady krawl back only interupted by a very interesting chat with a tree-feller. Perfect timing got us back for 13:30 and all four lunchers were allready there. All but one had the Steak & Ale pie, and jolly good it was too! I think Tony enjoy his introduction to the KKK and we hope to see him again in the future. Around six and a half miles in total.
Present: Drew (President), BN, Dave Arnold and his guest, Tony, Gareth, Roger, Colin, Stan + Dave C, Dave W, Fred and John (8+4=12)
Apologies: Rae, Martin, Chris, Ken, Jim, Mark, Apples, Phil, Ponti (9)

27 March 2025 – A nice Spring Kawl. And it was. Perfect weather greeted the six krawlers outside The Kentish Rifleman. Martin was our President for the day and he led us on a lovley krawl around the Shipbourne area. A few styles, next to no mud and impecable timing got us to The Chaser bang on miday. A pint in their garden was enjoyed as was the company of Phil who made the trip down from Halsted. He is still struggling with some heath problems but certainly enjoy the company of his fellow krawlers. Off back to The Kentish Rifleman for a supper lunch and a little drink… We were joined by Dave A, Dave W and Fred. Just over 6 miles in total.
Present: Martin (President), BN, Roger, Chris, Rae and Ponti plus Dave’s A & W and Fred for lunch (6+3=9)
Apologies: Ken, Phil, Jim, Drew, Stan, Dave C, Mark, Colin, Apples, John (10)

28 February 2025 – A krawl around the Commons. Only five made the start from the commonside car park. The President for the day (Rae) took us a very muddy krawl across many paths that were familiar to most. With ups and downs and plenty of the aforementioned mud we made our way to The New Inn in Hayes. A very pleasant stop with very reasonably priced beer. We then made our way back to the cars, changed and walked up to The Fox at Keston. We were joined by 4 others and all nine had a great meal (cheaper than had been expected!) with lots of banter and good fellowship. Around five and a half miles in total.
Present: Rae (President), BN, Drew, Stan, Chris + Dave A, Dave C, Dave W, Ponti (4+5=9)
Apologies: Jim, Mark, Ken, John, Phil, Fred, Martin, Colin, Gareth, Roger, Apples (11)

30 January 2025 – Ponti was due to lead this krawl but in the end couldn’t, so the BN stepped in at the last minute. The Greyhound in Keston was the starting point then off on a wander to areas not normally covered! Only 5 krawling with Chris joining at the half-way house. The weather was sunny and fresh, ideal conditions with plenty of mud, lots of mud… We stopped at The Fox for a pint before a quick lap of the lakes and another fine lunch at The Greyhound. Almost 7 miles in total.
Present: BN (Acting President), Drew, Colin, Dave Arnold, Rae + Chris for lunch (5+1=6)
Apologies: Phil, Ponti, Apples, Gareth, Jim, Ken, Stan, John, Roger, Dave W, Martin, Mark (12)
